The mission of our Next Generation ministry is to point our covenant children from birth to the hope found only in the person and work of Jesus Christ. We desire to come alongside parents as they seek to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Safe, compassionate, Christ-exalting care for our children is a top priority for Decatur Presbyterian.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Our children have classes from 9:30-10:15 AM. These classes are divided by age.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Midweek ministries begin at 6:00 PM after a church family meal. Our Wednesday nights include opportunities to worship the Lord in children’s choirs, to learn the tenets of the faith through developmentally appropriate teaching,  as well as a once monthly focus on missions around the world.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Special events for our children range from game days to movie nights to parents’ night out. We desire to provide opportunities for fellowship outside of normal church services for our children to grow in love for one another. Once per semester our children are given the opportunity to support a local Christian ministry through service projects.
